Former U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno, just out of a job, showed that she was a good sport on Saturday by showing up during a "Saturday Night Live" skit in which Will Ferrell was playing her. "Nice dress," Reno reputedly quipped when she saw the comic's get-up. So, could Bill Clinton soon show up on the program? "Hey, give him a day or two rest," "SNL" producer Lorne Michaels told Variety columnist Army Archerd. Michaels, who launched the show 26 years ago, called Reno "a great sport" for her appearance. She also boogied with Ferrell and the company, in a skit called "Janet Reno's Dance Party." "We knew she liked it from the last time," said Michaels, referring to a skit sometime ago that featured a Reno Dance Party that got New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani to cut a rug. Last year, too, "SNL" managed to get both George W. Bush and Al Gore to appear live on the show. Whether they will return remains to be seen, but, reports Variety, Michaels is certain that Dubya will give "SNL" plenty of opportunities to target him. After all, Michaels points out, "his dad was a great one for us."
