The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn., the group that hands out the Golden Globe Awards, is making Al Pacino an offer he can't refuse: "The Scent of a Woman" and "The Godfather" star, 60, will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Career Achievement Award for his "outstanding contribution to the entertainment field." He is slated to pick up his trophy on Jan. 21 at the 58th annual Golden Globes ceremony. Past DeMille honorees include Barbra Streisand, Jack Nicholson, Shirley MacLaine, Dustin Hoffman, Sean Connery,Sophia Loren and Robert Redford. In other news of the Hollywood Foreign Press Assn., its nominations for the 2001 Awards -- for TV and movies -- will be announced Dec. 21.
