Eagles Guitarist Sues Bandmates

Longtime Eagles guitarist Don Felder has sued two founding members of the legendary band, alleging he was fired without cause, reports the Hollywood Reporter. The suit, filed Thursday in the Superior Court of California only two days after Felder was reportedly fired, claims lead singer Don Henley and Glenn Frey abused their authority and acted unfairly by terminating Felder. Felder is asking that their jointly owned corporation, the Eagles Ltd., be dissolved and its profits accounted for and split fairly. Felder, a 33 1/3% shareholder in the corporation, claims that Henley and Frey will seek to buy back his stock in Eagles Ltd. in "an unconscionable manner." "The action of terminating Felder's relationship with the band was taken because it was in the best interest of the Eagles," Eagles attorney Daniel Petrocelli said. "The Eagles had every legal right to do so, and any claim by Felder to the contrary is completely without any merit."
