Patsy Cline's House is History

Sweet dreams guaranteed: If you're crazy for Patsy Cline and you want to be the envy of the block, you can live in her house for just $625 a month, according to the Associated Press. A limited liability corporation called "Sweet Dreams for Patsy" has bought the house in Winchester, Virginia, where the country singer lived on and off during the 1940s and '50s with the goal of preserving it. The 1,716 square-foot house, built in 1900, is reportedly assessed at $51,800. The corporation is controlled by The Adams Cos., whose president, Kevin D. Adams, is a board member of Celebrating Patsy Cline Inc., a Winchester group dedicated to building a museum in honor of Cline, who died in a plane crash in 1963. Mel Dick, Cline's brother-in-law and general manager of the Always Patsy Cline Fan Club said, "They purchased the house for all the right reasons."
