'Survivor' Player Countersued

The producer of CBS's hit series "Survivor" is countersuing disgruntled show contestant Stacey Stillman with a legal action filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, in which he is seeking $5 million in damages for breach of contract and defamation, reports Variety. Stillman had allegedly charged the contest was rigged, a claim the producer denies. In this new suit, producer SEG Inc. alleges that Stillman, a San Francisco lawyer, violated a confidentiality agreement that she signed last year before appearing on last summer's edition of the show. According to the complaint, the confidentiality agreement contains a $5 million penalty clause, and Stillman allegedly spoke to freelance writer Peter Lance (author of "The Stingray: Lethal Tactics of the Sole Survivor"), among others.
