Perennial "Puppy Love" singer Donny Osmond, 43, has a new gig. The former variety and talk show host ("Donny and Marie") is now to emcee a new version of the daytime game show "The $25,000 Pyramid" -- to be called, simply, "Pyramid," owing to the fact that the top prize amount is still under discussion by its producers. Variety reports that the syndicated show, which is due to premiere in the fall of 2002, has already signed up a station, San Francisco's KRON. Meanwhile, the June 25 issue of PEOPLE reported that Osmond, who is currently traveling the U.S. for the first leg of a world tour promoting his latest album, "This Is the Moment," still has groupies. "It's amazing that they're still there," Osmond, who last toured in 1989, told the magazine. On the road he also discussed his long-ago days as a teen idol with some current ones. "I went to see 'N Sync," said Osmond, "and we sat and talked about all our experiences. They saw things about my career on (VH1's) 'Behind the Music,' so they knew that I knew exactly what they were going through. But it's all cyclical anyway: We all know that it's a four- or five-year run, and then you move on." Perhaps 'N Sync will someday host a game show, too.
