Bob and Sue Levy, their lives altered forever by the May 1 disappearance of their daughter Chandra, sought the help of a psychic, PEOPLE reports in its latest cover story, which looks into the lives of those in agony over not knowing if a loved one will ever come home. Ultimately, the psychic's visions offered little help into the whereabouts of Chandra Levy, the 24-year-old former Washington, D.C., intern. Much of the scrutiny in the case has been focused on California Congressman Gary Condit, 53. On Wednesday at midnight, police began analyzing items they removed from Condit's apartment for possible clues about the disappearance of Levy. On Thursday, The Washington Post reported that Otis Thomas, a Pentecostal minister, had described to authorities an affair between his then-18-year-old daughter and Condit, telling investigators that the congressman had warned her never to speak of the relationship. (The Post says that Thomas has discussed the matter with Sue Levy -- and he says his daughter has gone into hiding.) Speaking to PEOPLE, Chandra's aunt, Linda Zamsky, 40, says that her niece often shared details of her furtive affair with Condit. According to Zamsky, Chandra said that Condit "was emphatic about keeping this a secret." Even so, Zamsky says, "Chandra talked about how she was going to get rid of her apartment and move in with him. They were going to keep it a secret for five years and then get married and have a baby. She talked about him leaving his wife and being with her. I warned her to be careful."
