Many viewers of HBO's "Project Greenlight" are eagerly anticipating the opening next week of Pete Jones's directorial debut, "Stolen Summer," if only to see how the movie they saw being filmed finally came out. The script by novice Pete Jones was chosen by Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and producer Chris Moore last year to be made into a film and also as the subject of the behind-the-scenes documentary, which aired on HBO this winter. (HBO, like PEOPLE, is part of AOL Time Warner.) Viewers got to see the stress, uncertainty and chaos that often accompany the filmmaking process -- although, at a news conference to promote the movie, Kevin Pollack, one of its stars, claimed that much of the drama and infighting were invented for the documentary, reports PEOPLE. "The movie was a tiny film with a huge heart," said Pollack. "The series was a big film with no heart." As for Pete Jones, the Chicago-based writer/director says as a result of the documentary, he is suddenly a minor celebrity. "It's weird. Just weird," Jones said of his newfound fame. "A lot of people come up to me and they're so familiar with me, and I'm like, 'I have no idea who this person is,' and they're asking me about my daughter." Whether the documentary was accurate or not, the publicity from "Project Greenlight" no doubt will raise awareness of the movie, which just might make this "little film" into a big hit.
