HURT: David Hasselhoff, 50, and his wife, actress Pamela Bach, 39, suffered broken bones Thursday when the former "Baywatch" star lost control of the motorcycle they were riding and hit a curb, throwing the actor against a street light while his wife fell to the shoulder of the road, Los Angeles police tell the Associated Press. Strong winds were said to be the cause. Authorities say both were wearing helmets and were taken to UCLA Medical Center, where he was treated for possible lower back fractures, a broken rib and cuts and bruises, and she was treated for a fractured ankle and broken wrist. A spokesman for Hasselhoff said, "They're in stable condition."

SUED: Dr. Phil McGraw, 52, is being sued by the Dallas-based DDH Aviation, which claims the TV personality owes $135,962 in corporate jet bills, according to the Smoking Gun Web site. "Despite numerous letters, faxes, and telephone calls demanding payment," the legal papers state, Dr. Phil has allegedly failed to pony up the money. There has been no comment from McGraw.

DISCUSSED: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar is in negotiations to be the leading lady in MGM's "Romantic Comedy," says the Hollywood Reporter. She'd play a United Nations translator being wooed by a guy named Max who likes to imitate romantic moments from movies. The picture is to begin shooting in August, after Gellar, 25, finishes the sequel to "Scooby-Doo."

DUE: Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, 71, and his wife, Wendi Deng, 35, are expecting their second child this summer, says PEOPLE. The couple, who wed in June 1999, have a 1-year-old daughter, Grace. Murdoch, whose empire includes the FOX network, has four adult children from two previous marriages.

WROTE: Goldie Hawn, 57, is about to become an author. New York-based publisher G.P. Putnam's Sons has paid seven figures for the worldwide rights to the actress's spiritual memoir, "A Lotus Grows in the Mud: Footprints of a Spiritual Life," reports Variety. The publisher says the manuscript is about Hawn's "journey toward fulfillment -- the lessons she learned in life and the wisdom she can now impart with the hope of inspiring others." The book, due to be out next year, will deal with her childhood, Hollywood career, marriage (and non-marriage, to Kurt Russell) and children -- one of whom is Kate Hudson.
