For starters, there's the report in Britain's tabloid, the Sun, that momentary groom Jason Allen Alexander, 22, was paid about $500,000 (via check) and another $75,000 (in cash) to sign the annulment papers, and the National Enquirer "exclusive," that Alexander got a Porsche convertible and a pay-off of $850,000. But Alexander's friends say the reports are utter hogwash, reports USA Today.
The newspaper also quotes Spears's rep once again denying rumors that the brief bride is ill. In the first pictures of Britney taken since her Jan. 3 marriage, British photographers snapped her entering the Centinela Hospital in Los Angeles last Friday. But the rep tells USA Today that Britney was merely tagging along for her mother's doctor's appointment.
Meanwhile, one story that is true -- with an official publicity photo to prove it -- is that Britney stars in a new Gladiator-style ad for Pepsi that has been filmed in Rome.
In the multimillion-dollar commercial, due to start airing soon, Enrique Iglesias plays an evil emperor, while Britney, Beyonce and Pink battle it out among themselves in outfits skimpier than anything Russell Crowe sported in "Gladiator."
According to a Pepsi press release, Britney said: "I'm such a huge fan of Pink and Beyonce. They're amazing artists so to be in their company is very cool."
