Ocean's Twelve – starring Clooney, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Brad Pitt, who is traveling with his wife, Jennifer Aniston – is currently shooting on location in Paris, Monte Carlo, Rome and northern Italy's Lake Como.
For 10 days in Lake Como, the stars are holed up at Clooney's own 18th-century waterfront villa, which he bought for $10 million in October 2002, USA Today reports. The front of the house, although well protected by security guards, is easily visible from the 850-person village's main drag, Via Regina – making it hard for paparazzi-happy European crowds to contain themselves.
Giuseppe Mantero, mayor of Laglio, the village that's home to Clooney's estate, has had to issue a temporary order barring "parking or standing (on foot)" on the street adjacent to the Clooney spread. And a local priest begged the media to leave Clooney in peace to preserve the village tranquility.
At least one local, however, appears to be delighted with the star-struck crowds: Nearco Folloni, whose Bar Laterna is conveniently situated just up the road from Clooney's villa. "It's great for business, not with the actors, but from the people looking for the actors," Folloni told the paper.
Filming is expected to wrap shooting next month in the United States, and the movie is due in theaters in December.
