Julia Roberts, this week's PEOPLE covergirl and new mom (of twins), tops the Hollywood Reporter's new list of the silver screen's highest paid actresses, thanks to her $20-million-per-picture price.
Roberts, 37, actually shares that salary status with Cameron Diaz, though the Reporter's list leads with Roberts because the No. 2-ranked Diaz, 32, didn't appear in any movies this year, except to lend her voice to the Princess Fiona character in Shrek 2.
Nicole Kidman rakes in $15 million per pic, says the trade paper, which earns her the third spot, though fourth-ranked Reese Witherspoon, 28, and fifth place Drew Barrymore, 29, earn the same salary. The distinction was made because Kidman can claim an Oscar and stronger star power.
Rounding out the top 10, in descending order: Halle Berry ($14 million); Sandra Bullock and Angelina Jolie ($12 million to $15 million each); and, interestingly, Renee Zellweger and Jennifer Lopez ($12 million) – whose rankings represents a reversal of roles since last year, when Zellweger was 10th.
Missing from the list are Meryl Streep, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jodie Foster, Meg Ryan and Michelle Pfeiffer, though the asking prices for the "next generation" of actresses got the once-over.
They include $8 million for Kirsten Dunst; $7.5 million for Lindsay Lohan; $3 million for Jessica Alba and Mandy Moore; and $2 million for Sarah Michelle Gellar.
