Simpson-Wentz and Wentz welcome son Bronx Mowgli to the family. The newborn weighs in at 7lbs., 11 oz., and was 20 ½ inches long. Just days earlier Jessica gabbed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that her sister may have to induce labor. "I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now," Jessica told Ellen.
Simpson-Wentz becomes the latest tenant of Melrose Place when she joins the CW reboot as new girl Violet Foster. "She comes off a bit innocent, but I think that as she starts to build, you see she's a little manipulative," the star dishes to PEOPLE. In October, the network cuts the actress from the series. Calling the series "crap," sis Jessica Tweets, "Thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."
After 2½ years of marriage, Simpson files for divorce from husband Pete Wentz, citing "irreconcilable differences," and seeks spousal support. "We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority," they say in a joint statement. Their divorce is finalized in December.
A newly single Simpson wastes no time in the dating game, showing off her new guy, Boardwalk Empire star Vincent Piazza, four months after her split from Wentz.
