Nearly a year after going public with their relationship, Lively, 25, exchanges vows with beau Ryan Reynolds, 35, in a secret ceremony at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Surrounded by friends and family, the newlyweds – who met on the set of 2011's The Green Lantern – celebrated their nuptials in a white-tent reception, featuring a performance by Lively's good friend Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine).
After six seasons, the hit CW series comes to an end in a finale that sees Penn Badgley's Dan Humphrey revealed to be the anonymous writer of the Gossip Girl blog. But despite his scheming ways, Lively's character Serena van der Woodsen forgives him, and in a flash-forward to the future, the two wed.
Over three months after her hush-hush nuptials, Lively offers fans a small peek from her big day in Martha Stewart Weddings. An elegant shot of the newlyweds holding hands is released among pictures of pastries and wedding décor, which Stewart herself helped coordinate. "While they remain protective of images of them on their most heartfelt occasion, they graciously let us share pictures of the elements we created together," say the magazine staff.
Surprise! Lively takes to her lifestyle blog to announce that she and Reynolds are expecting their first child together. "They are absolutely ecstatic, and just so ready for this," a source tells PEOPLE. "It is the perfect time in their lives to start this new chapter; they are so in love and are going to be amazing parents."
