TOYS

What kid doesn't enjoy a new toy? Anything small with minimal loose pieces is a winner in this category.
We Like: LEGO Creator Minis ($5), which have appropriate themes like Mini Trains and Mini Vehicles, come in a reusable storage container and let kids 6 and up build three different models from each set.
We Also Like: For the littlest ones, Kushies' Folio Photo Album-To-Go ($20) reminds babies of the creature comforts of home while the Libro Coco Cat Multi-Sensory Activity Book ($23) keeps babies engaged with its squishy aquarium, squeeze-activated meow, and cat nose mirror and tail. For toddlers, try The I Spy Bag ($8-36), a fleece beanbag with a clear window. Instead of beans, use non-toxic polypropylene pellets (BPA/DEHP free). Various trinkets are hidden among the pellets for children to "discover."
