Jamie Lynn Spears and fiancé Casey Aldridge each picked part of their daughter's name. Jamie Lynn said, "Maddie is a name that Casey thought of, and I really liked it." Briann is in honor of Casey's cousin and close friend, Brian, who was killed in a car accident, as well as Jamie Lynn's older brother Bryan.
