Channing Tatum: Snapshot

Channing Tatum
Date of Birth
April 26, 1980
Birth Place
Cullman, Ala.
Channing Tatum danced his way to stardom in 2006's Step Up, where he proved he's got the looks and the moves.

After being discovered by a modeling scout on the streets of Miami, the southern stunner posed provocatively for Nautica and Abercrombie & Fitch. Then came his role as a delinquent turned dancer in Step Up, before Tatum switched gears with a tortured turn in the indie flick A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. That role prompted PEOPLE to dub him "the thinking girl's hunk."

Tatum, who dominated the box office with 2009's G.I. Joe and broke hearts in 2010 with Dear John, married Step Up costar Jenna Dewan in Malibu in July 2009. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Everly, in 2013.

Dating Amanda Bynes?

Tatum appears in the gender-bending Amanda Bynes comedy She's the Man. Offscreen, the two costars are linked after they’re reportedly photographed kissing. (At the movie’s premiere, he gushes to E! News that she was "hysterical...and beautiful as always.") But in an interview with Teen People, Bynes (right) denies there were sparks with any of her hunky costars: "They all had girlfriends!"
