Eva Mendes in Rehab
Mendes' rep says the actress checked into rehab at Utah's Cirque Lodge several weeks ago. "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support," her rep tells PEOPLE. After spending several weeks in rehab, she tells PEOPLE, "The sun's out again. It's my time."
Stripping Down For Calvin Klein
After signing on to be the new face (and body!) of Calvin Klein, Mendes' steamy ads debut. "The company has such an incredible creative legacy," Mendes says in a statement. "I’m honored to be associated with such an iconic, world-class brand like Calvin Klein Underwear."
The Spirit
With Scarlett Johansson and Gabriel Macht, Mendes stars in the film adaptation of Will Eisner's comic series, The Spirit. "I love this character," Mendes tells USA Today of playing Sand Saref. "And when else am I going to play someone who's married 14 times and killed all of her husbands, although some were accidents, and who's a jewel thief. And with that name."

Mendes tests her comedy chops in the buddy-cop comedy The Other Guys, where she plays "improv king" Will Ferrell's wife. Filming for Mendes – who took improv classes to prepare for her role – "felt like getting in the ring with Will," the actress tells USA Today of falling in love with comedy. "Now I'm hooked. I don't want to work any other way." And the hard work pays off, with the flick topping the weekend box office.

After quietly splitting with longtime love George Augusto, Mendes, 37, gets cozy with Ryan Gosling, 30, whom she holds hands with at Disneyland's California Adventure Park in Anaheim, Calif. The canoodling costars, who met on the New York set of The Place Beyond the Pines, "spent a lot of time together on set," a source tells PEOPLE. "They have great chemistry and seem to enjoy filming together. They seem to be good friends and always laugh together."
