PURPLE REIGN

"This is Nicole being royalty in purple velvet. She's the ruler of the red carpet," says Kaufman of the star's elegant dress at the U.K. premiere of The Interpreter (on April 14). "The color looks amazing on her." And, says Kaufman, velvet "is going to be huge for fall." That Kidman wears it in the spring places her firmly in trendsetter territory.
