DESTINY'S CHILDREN
Knowles (far right) was just 10 when she started singing with her first group, Girls Tyme, featuring Rowland (top, center). After the girls lost on a 1992 episode of Star Search, Knowles's father, Mathew, dedicated himself to managing the group, renaming it Destiny's Child in the late 1990s. Several lineup changes later, Williams signed on in 2000.
