She snagged a Golden Globe for her role as cutthroat Dr. Cristina Yang, but Oh is careful to temper her excitement. "I don't really think (awards are) something that you can spend a lot of energy aiming toward," the Canada native has said. "It can be a very distracting thing." But she doesn't mind a little competition, admitting that winning is "just terrifically exciting."
