A 215-pounder with a black belt in karate, Pohle was a senior biology major who worked nights as a bartender and had a serious girlfriend. Christian Harding, Pohle's coworker at Nerv Restaurant & Lounge, says while the Flemington, N.J., native was a big guy, he also had a soft side. "The night before he died, he was giving advice on relationships," Harding says. "That touched me after it happened."
