A freshman from Centreville, Va., Samaha was an avid dancer and a member of Virginia Tech's Contemporary Dance Ensemble. She was remembered fondly by a teacher who wrote: "She was a lovely girl with a luminous smile.... I know she believed in a God and an afterlife. Perhaps she is in a better place, beyond pain and fear."
