Lee's former T.A. David Newton remembers him for his "beautiful sense of humor," commitment to his education and his kind nature. A Roanoke, Va., native, the freshman took on a course load of French, chemical engineering and mathematics classes in his first year at VT. Jessica Tate, who met Lee when he was in the sixth grade, says he was her " 'Little Henh', a little brother to me."
