Now: She founded and runs Kellie Williams Programs, a Washington, D.C.-based after-school arts program designed to help young people get exposure to theater, music, visual arts and dance. In 2004, the now-32-year-old began the project with her own money, but has since drummed up support from the D.C. city council and contributions from local professionals.
