She has a whopping nine Grammy Awards, but after hitting 40, the multiplatinum singer, now 46, started branching out, launching a clothing line, Bootheel Trading Co., and focusing on charitable causes, like environmental issues (she performed at Live Earth and hit the road for her "Stop Global Warming College Tour") and cancer (a breast cancer survivor, she lent her star power to Stand Up for Cancer). But that all takes a backseat to the most important thing in her world: son Wyatt, 2. "My life is definitely richer," she told PEOPLE, "and he's the first thing I think of in the morning, and the first thing I think of before I go to sleep."
