"I didn't do a church wedding or anything, but we're married. We're husband and wife," Stuart Townsend told PEOPLE in 2007 of his commitment to then-girlfriend Charlize Theron. And though the Oscar-winning actress always maintained that marriage is "not my thing," she once told Oprah that Townsend was "the best thing that's ever happened to me." But after nine years together, the couple quietly went their separate ways in 2010, with Theron being briefly linked to her North Country costar and pal Jeremy Renner.
