The actor checked in for a 67-day stay at the Betty Ford Center in 1998 after going to jail for violating probation on multiple drug charges. By 2002, he was sober and ready to reclaim his career. "My vice, it seems now, is creativity," he explained in 2008. "It's all about living a normal, balanced life."
