The low point: In 1988, the Brat Packer was enmeshed in a scandal when a sex tape surfaced of the actor with two women – one of whom was underaged – the night before the Democratic National Convention.
The comeback: A decade later, Lowe began making his way back into the spotlight, beginning with The West Wing, which earned him an Emmy nod. By 2010, he jumped from a successful run on Brothers & Sisters to the critically acclaimed NBC sitcom Parks & Recreation, and added best-selling author to his résumé with his 2011 memoir, Stories I Only Tell My Friends.
