Oscar-winner Angelina Jolie became a permanent Hollywood A-lister thanks to Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, playing the busty archaeologist of the long-running Tomb Raider video game series. The 2001 film raked in loads of cash to become the best-selling video game flick of all time (that is, until 2010's Prince of Persia). It was followed by 2003's Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life, which, like its predecessor, garnered negative reviews, but didn't do as well as expected at the box office.
