Lincoln rose to fame facing Stephen Douglas in a series of seven debates before eventually defeating the man known as the Little Giant in the 1860 Presidential race. Bond most famously tussled with Blofeld, a cat-loving psychopath responsible for his wife's death, in six films (seven if you include the unauthorized Never Say Never Again) before eventually dropping him in smokestack in the opening sequence of For Your Eyes Only. They even look a little alike.
