About six months after the affair began, "menacing" and "threatening" anonymous emails from several addresses started popping up in the inbox of a Florida socialite named Jill Kelley, an events organizer for military personnel at a base in Tampa. Well-connected with top military brass, Kelley was a close friend of Petraeus and his family. The emails were cryptic, but at least one of them accused Kelley of inappropriately touching "him" under a table; another asked if Kelley's husband was aware of her actions.
