Fourteen years before they took home their third World Cup trophy, the U.S. Women's Soccer team defeated China after goalkeeper Briana Scurry blocked a penalty kick from Liu Ying, ensuring a 5-4 victory (and Brandi Chastain's now-infamous shirtless celebration). "We really love the game, and we love being around each other," forward Kristine Lilly told PEOPLE when explaining the team's incredible success.
