2011: AMY WINEHOUSE JOINS THE 27 CLUB

After bursting into the mainstream with her hit "Rehab," Amy Winehouse quickly became an international superstar, thanks to her incredible talent, larger-than-life personality and retro sound. Unfortunately, fame and success made her battle with addiction even harder, and despite an attempt to get sober and back into the studio, Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning at age 27. "Our family has been left bereft.... She leaves a gaping hole in our lives," her parents, Mitch and Janis, and her older brother Alex said in a statement.
