From the White House to the Dorm Room: Where the First Children Go to College

When it was time to leave the White House, these sons and daughters of Presidents chose universities all over the country

After growing up in the White House, Carter went to high school back in her home state of Georgia, before heading off to Brown University. During her sophomore year at the school, she was dismissed for academic reasons, according to the Providence Journal-Bulletin. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Memphis College of Art and a Masters in Art History from Tulane University.
