THE CLASSIC

From a '50s haute couture Jean Desses dress and custom-made Carolina Herrera gown (left, in 2001, and right, in 2003) to the Valentino cocktail dress she wore to 2003's Golden Globes (center), Best Supporting Actress nominee Renée Zellweger recalls old Hollywood in soft, feminine, classically cut gowns. Look for her to set flashbulbs popping at the Oscars in something elegant and ladylike.
