DRAMATIC EFFECT
In 2000, when Denzel Washington accepted the Golden Globe for best actor in a drama for his portrayal of wrongly imprisoned boxer Rubin "Hurricane" Carter in The Hurricane, he invited the film's namesake to the podium. "This man right here is love," a choked-up Washington told the audience. "He's all love."
