Brando met and fell in love with Tahitian actress Tarita Teriipaia on the set of 1962's Mutiny on the Bounty. In 1966, he bought the nearby island of Teti'aroa, where he lived with Teriipaia and their two children, Cheyenne and Teihotu (who runs a Brando-owned hotel there), for nearly 20 years.
