After she won the Bedford High School prom queen title over a "blue-eyed blonde," Berry (in 1980) says she and her friends were accused of stuffing the ballot box – but a coin toss kept her win intact. "I felt like I was accepted there until it came to being prom queen," she says. "It took me a long time to get over it."
