"If it doesn't fit, you must acquit," Johnnie Cochran, captain of Simpson's legal Dream Team, advised the jury after his former NFL star client struggled into gloves found in the 1994 murder investigation of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. After a yearlong trial, he was clamorously acquitted. He moved to Miami with his two children by Nicole but found himself virtually unemployable as he tried to raise the $33.5 million awarded the victims' families in a 1997 civil suit.
