Usher, 25, says he has nothing to confess: He and Justin Timberlake are friends, not enemies. As the two vie for best male video at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 29, Usher said this week that he's not in "competition with anyone but myself," despite reports that he bristled when Rolling Stone had crowned Timberlake, 23, "the new King of Pop." "As friends we just play each other," he said, though earlier he had told Entertainment Weekly: "They say Justin is live, but I'll take him in five."
