Singer Spears, 22 – who told PEOPLE last month she wanted to take new husband Kevin Federline's name – is now sharing her intentions with the world, telling a German magazine this week that she's likely to do it, though "society probably won't allow me." Spears has already made major changes since her Sept. 18 wedding, including buying a $7 million Malibu home and breaking off with her longtime manager.
