Ontario natives and longtime pals Lavigne and Whibley (in West Hollywood on June 28), who live together in Santa Monica, Calif., started dating last summer. Whibley proposed in Venice, Italy, as Lavigne wrapped up the European leg of her tour. No wedding date has been announced, but Lavigne will be busy touring North and South America through September.
