The 44-year-old father of two plays the man Sunday night audiences most love to hate: Boston Legal' s ethically challenged lawyer Alan Shore. "What's so gifted about James is that he's been able to get people to like him without asking for it. In fact, he invites everyone to condemn him," the ABC show's creator, David E. Kelley, told Entertainment Weekly.
