Joan "Muffet" Hemingway, granddaughter to Ernest Hemingway, was a 1970s food personality: She studied at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and wrote a cookbook called The Picnic Gourmet. PEOPLE took Muffet out for a picnic (a "moveable feast," get it?) and she shared her recipe for this four-bean salad, which was adapted from a family friend.
