The Project Runway host opens up about her new romance with Kirsten, telling Katie Couric on her daytime talk show, "[Martin]'s a great man and recently we just got to know each other from a completely different side." The mother of four also discusses Kirsten's close bond with her young brood, adding, "I trust him with my children's life."
With Hurricane Sandy heavily affecting the Northeast, Klum pushes back her annual Halloween costume party – which she had planned to attend dressed as Cleopatra – in New York City. "Canceling my Halloween party...postponing to a haunted Christmas," she Tweets, sharing a photo of herself on a N.Y.C. street a day after the storm.
Adding another hosting gig to her résumé, Klum joins America's Got Talent. "I'm not sure who will be more nervous though – me or the contestants!" she tells PEOPLE. "I've always wanted to work with Howard Stern. I think he's so funny, charming, handsome and smart. And, yes, he did tell me to say this."
Klum and Project Runway costar Tim Gunn take home the Emmy for outstanding host for a reality or reality competition program, becoming the first pair to receive the award. "We won !!!!!!! yay !!!!!" she Tweets.
Following more than a year of dating, Klum and Kirsten call it quits. "Martin was there for her during a challenging time in her life and it was something she will always be grateful for," says a friend close to the model, who also ended her professional relationship with Kirsten. "They still have a great friendship."
