A Baby on the Way
In a stunning announcement, the actress's rep tells PEOPLE, "January Jones is happy to announce that she is expecting her first child this fall." Though Jones remains mum about the father's identity, her Mad Men costar Aaron Staton tells PEOPLE, "It's something that she's wanted to do and that she's excited to do."
'X' Marks the Spot
While a dispute between AMC and Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner sidelines the series for a year, Jones ups her box-office draw by appearing as telepath Emma Frost in the blockbuster comic-book franchise X-Men: First Class. "It's a huge responsibility," says Jones about the sci-fi role to W magazine. "And I'm a villain." The film debuts at No. 1, raking in $120 million worldwide.
It's a Boy!
Just in time for the Emmys, Jones welcomes her first child, son Xander Danes Jones. "She's really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom," a source told PEOPLE when the actress announced her pregnancy.

Jones steps out in Santa Monica, Calif., with Noah Miller, her director on the upcoming 2013 Western film, Sweetwater. "When you date someone else who's in the industry, someone has to make the sacrifices. And if no one's willing to, then you just have to be friends," she previously told Allure about dating in Hollywood.
