The Style Set
The accidental fashion mogul returns to television as a style mentor on NBC's new reality-competition show, Fashion Star, where she joins Nicole Richie, Elle MacPherson and designer John Varvatos. "I couldn't turn it down because I felt like it was great for my collection," the mom-to-be says, "but it was also important for me to talk to these up-and-coming designers and mentor them … and really try and lead them in the right direction."
She's a Mommy!
Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson welcome daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson. "Life has completely changed," Simpson, 31, tells PEOPLE of motherhood. "From how I sleep to what I think about, Maxwell has definitely taken over everything!"

Four months after daughter Maxwell's arrival, Simpson debuts her post-baby body during an appearance on Katie Couric's new talk show, Katie. "I want to be as healthy as I can because I'm a mom now," the Weight Watchers spokesperson – who has lost more than 40 lbs. since delivering – says. "It's not a diet. It's a lifestyle."
Two Good to Be True
Nearly eight months after welcoming daughter Maxwell, Simpson confirms she is expecting her second child on Christmas, posting a photo of her daughter with the words "Big Sis" written in the sand. The star later flaunts her burgeoning belly on a Hawaiian vacation, Tweeting a bikini-clad photo and writing simply, "Bumpin' and Proud!"

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Simpson accidentally reveals she's expecting a boy. "The crazy thing is, I never knew that a wiener could actually make me nauseous," she says, before realizing her slip. "Well, I guess I just told the world that I'm having a boy! ... That was not planned. I just did it so crude, too."
