While starring in separate plays on Broadway, Law and former fiancée Sienna Miller rekindle their romance, with the reunited pair taking their on-again relationship public with a Christmas vacation in Barbados. A year later, Law and Miller call it quits in February 2011. "It was an entirely an end-of-the relationship decision," a friend tells PEOPLE. "It had run its course."

Playing sidekick Dr. Watson, Law returns to the box office – opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Rachel McAdams – in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes. "The flirting started the minute we met," the actor told CNN of working with Downey Jr. "It was based on mutual respect and admiration."
