Blonde beauty Kate Bosworth gained notice as a teen in 1998's The Horse Whisperer and the WB series Young Americans. But her breakthrough came when she played a sun-kissed surf queen in 2002's Blue Crush.

Since then, Bosworth has mixed edgy indies (the fall-of-a-porn-star tale Wonderland) with more mainstream fare (2004's Win a Date with Tad Hamilton!). She went on to costar with Kevin Spacey in the biopic Beyond the Sea and play Lois Lane in the 2006 summer blockbuster Superman Returns.

Off-screen, the fashionable star, whose waif-like frame spawned major headlines, dated Pirates of the Caribbean's Orlando Bloom and True Blood's Alexander Skarsgard before marrying director Michael Polish in 2013.
